Everyone is familiar with the 'Fancy Feast' kitty~often mistaken for a white cat with green eyes, but in reality the commercial boasts a beautiful example of the Silver breed with a chinchilla coat and vivid green eyes. There are 4 categories designated for this capitavating color division:
(The kittens or cats pictured below are NOT for sale but are pictured for demonstration purposes)

Shaded Silver~meaning that the black tipping extends further down the hair shaft, closer to the white base creating a shadowing appearance. As the hair grows, the black tipping is pushed further from the skin and the coat lightens as the kitten grows into an adult. Example above & below~

Chinchilla Silver~meaning 'light' tipping just on the end of the hair shaft and just lightly dusting the coat creating a look of 'almost white' with very little barring. *These are far more rare with the most common being 'lightly' shaded* Chinchilla Silver pictured above & below~

Shaded Golden~meaning that the black tipping extends further down the hair shaft, closer to the honey or apricot base creating a shadowing appearance. As the hair grows, the black tipping is pushed further from the skin and the coat lightens as the kitten grows into an adult. There are several hues of cream to apricot that the base can reflect, depending on the line. Example above & below~

Chinchilla Golden~meaning 'light' tipping just on the end of the hair shaft where the base hair can be a variety of hues, some honey colored, or apricot with several variances. *These are far more rare with the most common being 'lightly' shaded* Chinchilla Golden pictured above & below~
